Cycling tours
In and around the Maribo Lakes Nature Park you will find three beautiful day bike tours of 22, 36 and 41 km respectively. The tours have been developed by Naturlandet Lolland-Falster. They can of course be shortened if you wish.
In the land of the sea eagles (36 km)
The cycle route "In the land of the sea eagle" is a great opportunity to experience the beautiful Maribo Lakes Nature Park from the land side, and the tour can also be hiked.
Along the way through the magnificent manor landscape you will experience one beautiful view after another. There are many rest stops along the way and from the bird hide at Hejrede Lake there is a good opportunity to get closer to the lakes' rich bird life. However, it is a good idea to remember binoculars.
If you look carefully along the way, there's a good chance of spotting sea eagles.
The cycle route is a Panorama route, it is signposted with blue signs with symbols - just follow the "sea eagle".

Safari by bike (22 km)
Take the kids on safari. This is a child-friendly cycle route of 22 km, starting in Maribo in the middle of Lolland. The cycle route heads north to the idyllic village of Maglemer and Knuthenborg Safari Park. Here you can buy a ticket to the safari park, and experience a wide range of exotic animals from the saddle of your bike. In the safari park there is an amusement park, which is very popular with children and childlike souls.
The route turns in the small port town of Bandholm, where you can see more sights, enjoy lunch at the hotel, have an ice cream or take a dip in the warm Småland Sea while watching for the ferry to Askø.
The cycle route is a Panorama route, it is signposted with blue signs with symbols - you just have to follow the "rhino".

You'll pass through the idyllic villages of Maglemer and Bandholm. Further out, the route passes through the fine coastal forest, Skifterne.
Halfway along the route you pass Blans Harbour, where you can take a break in idyllic surroundings. Here you can look across to Askø and Lindholm, where the inventor Ellehammer was in the competition to become the first person in the world to fly in an aeroplane.
Further along the route you will pass through Stokkemarke and Nørreballe, where there is the opportunity to stop for refreshments.
The cycle route is a Panorama route, it is signposted with blue signs with symbols - you just have to follow the "forest".
